At Oborn & Johnson, we are able to advise on the best structure for your business or investment situation, assist in implementation as required, recommend on record-keeping and management, and each year after preparation of your annual financial reports and tax returns, provide feedback on your business and comment on what actions we believe you should take during the next year.
Each client is assigned to one of our accounting team, so you always have two points of contact, the director and the accountant assigned, at our firm. We do our best to match the accountant on our team to the client to give you the best possible service.
Who we work with:
- Business
We provide a full range of accounting services for our business clients. Most of our clients are small or medium business (SME's). We give our clients a back up to their business, a support structure (so they feel less alone), clarity of information and peace of mind. We do this by:
- Consistently delivering them accounting services that are timely, accurate and clear to understand
- Advising them of developments in business and tax law which may affect them or their business.
- Adding value to the compliance work we deliver by noticing and offering advice on opportunities to improve what they are doing or how they are doing it.
- Creating an environment where they feel welcome.
- Investors
As investment is part of the outcome of a successful business and definitely of the financial life of our clients, we advise on structures and general issues, and will help you seek specialist advice as needed.
- Trusts
We provide you with information and advice regarding trusts, and will work with you and your solicitor towards the best trust solution for you. For clients who have trusts, we advise on trust management, both in terms of record keeping and in optimisation of the trust's use.
- Consulting and Special Projects
From time to time a client may have particular issues which require more hands-on help from us, and these are our special projects. It may be anything as diverse as a business start-up, growth phase or time of challenge; it may be a re-structure or sell-out, family changes impacting on the business or trust, a client heading on holiday needing back up here while away or any other life event which impacts the business. Major changes to tax and business legislation may also mean an education requirement for a large number of our clients. All these are special projects which we take on with enthusiasm, professionalism and a smile!
